MLK Jr. Day: “Balancing Freedom of Expression and Diversity” conversation

The national conversation surrounding free speech and diversity issues on college campuses will continue with a lecture at Iowa State University next week.

Mariah Watson, former student government president at the University of California, Davis and Howard Gillman, chancellor of the University of California, Irvine, will discuss First Amendment rights and the concerns of diverse populations on university campuses.

“Balancing Freedom of Expression and Diversity: Campus Conversation” will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in the Memorial Union Sun Room. The public discussion is free.
